Scheduling & Cancellation Policy

Training Programs

All Rawhyde training programs require a $500 deposit at the time of registration. Because our training classes often sell out well in advance, last-minute cancellations are difficult to fill. For that reason, the following policy applies.

We strongly encourage rescheduling rather than canceling whenever possible. Our team genuinely wants to provide the experience you registered for. However, if cancellation is necessary, the terms below apply.

Training Cancellation Schedule

  • 90 days or more before the scheduled event: Full refund, subject to the terms noted below
  • 89 to 60 days before the scheduled event: $250 cancellation fee
  • 60 to 45 days before the scheduled event: $350 cancellation fee
  • 45 days or less before the scheduled event: Deposit is forfeited

Adventure Tours

The same principles apply to Rawhyde adventure tours. Due to the logistics involved with tours, including staff, vehicles, accommodations, and routing, cancellation fees differ slightly.

Tour Cancellation Schedule

  • 90 days or more before the scheduled event: Full refund, subject to the terms noted below
  • 89 to 60 days before the scheduled event: $300 cancellation fee
  • 60 to 45 days before the scheduled event: $500 cancellation fee
  • 45 days or less before the scheduled event: Deposit is forfeited

Weather, Rain, and Natural Events

Rain is part of adventure riding, and our training reflects that reality. Light rain or intermittent showers do not cancel a class. Training proceeds as scheduled under those conditions.

If the forecast calls for a sustained or severe storm that would compromise safety or the quality of training, Rawhyde may postpone the class. In that case, participants will receive a rain check or voucher that can be applied toward any future available class or tour.

Refunds are not issued for weather-related postponements. Due to the nature of weather forecasting, cancellation decisions typically cannot be made more than three days in advance.

For guests traveling by air, we recognize that weather-related postponements can create additional inconvenience. In those cases, Rawhyde will provide a $50 credit to help offset airline rebooking fees. We also strongly recommend purchasing travel interruption insurance when making travel arrangements.

While we work hard to avoid cancellations, safety and training quality must always come first.

Talk to our Rider Advocate

Here at Rawhyde Adventures we believe in actually having a conversation with people that are interested in our programs so please call us if you have the time. If you reach our voicemail; please leave a message and we WILL return your call promptly.

Please Note: Occasionally we have programs that require the service of our entire staff and take us far beyond cell range, and thus it may be a day or two before we can return your call, but rest assured we will do so as soon as possible.

Even though we'd really rather talk to you in person.. email is sometimes necessary so - email if you must but call us if you can, we'll be delighted to answer your questions. If you do not receive a response to your email within 2 business days; please call. If we are out of the office (as stated above) we will contact you as soon as possible.
