Rawhyde Moto Adventures is the official BMW off-road motorcycle training academy in the United States, offering multi-level ADV riding programs, guided tours, and private coaching at facilities in Castaic, California. Founded in 2003, Rawhyde trains riders of all experience levels on purpose-built and natural terrain using USMCA-certified coaches, with all training weekends fully immersive and all-inclusive - accommodations, meals, and open bar on site. What sets Rawhyde apart is the combination of the most credentialed instruction in the ADV industry, real off-road terrain that builds skills no pavement-based course can replicate, and a community-driven experience that riders return to year after year.

Off-Road Motorcycle Training
At RAWHYDE, our motorcycle training courses are built around one defining principle: off-road riding creates better motorcycle riders. While many programs focus on parking-lot drills and basic rider course formats, we immerse riders in real-world terrain where balance, traction control, line selection, and situational awareness are constantly challenged. The result is a more confident, capable rider both on and off the pavement.
Riders often arrive after completing a motorcycle safety foundation program or earning their motorcycle endorsement. They understand the basics. They can operate the motorcycle. But real riding skills are developed when conditions are unpredictable. Our training emphasizes off-road, elevation, camber, and terrain that demand focus and control.
Experienced Riders
Even experienced riders benefit from venturing off pavement. Years of street riding experience can build confidence, but off-road riding often exposes habits and techniques that limit a rider’s overall control and capability. Loose surfaces, changing traction, and technical terrain force riders to adapt quickly.
RAWHYDE provides the ideal environment to sharpen those skills. Riders refine braking, cornering, and body positioning in ways that traditional motorcycle training cannot replicate. This is how riders move beyond routine and develop real ability - both off and on-road.
