Intro to Adventure & High Rockies Adventure
Intro to Adventure + High Rockies Adventure is a purpose-built progression designed for riders who want to build real off-road skills and then immediately apply them in one of the most scenic riding environments in North America. This combination pairs Rawhyde’s foundational Intro to Adventure training with the immersive experience of the High Rockies Adventure tour, creating a seamless path from learning to real-world application.
The experience begins with Intro to Adventure, where riders focus on essential adventure riding fundamentals in a controlled, supportive environment. Coaching emphasizes body position, throttle and clutch control, braking, balance, and terrain awareness. The goal is confidence, consistency, and comfort on dirt so riders feel prepared to take those skills beyond the training area and into more expansive terrain.
From there, riders transition directly into the High Rockies Adventure, carrying those newly developed skills into Colorado’s high country. This alpine tour features sweeping mountain valleys, high elevation passes, forest roads, and expansive backcountry routes surrounded by dramatic peaks and open skies. The cooler mountain air and ever-changing scenery create an unforgettable setting to reinforce and refine what was learned during training.
The tour is fully supported by Rawhyde’s experienced team, with a lead coach guiding the group, a sweep coach providing support from the rear, and a support truck and trailer handling logistics and assistance as needed. This structure allows riders to focus on the ride, the scenery, and their progression without worrying about the details.
Evenings offer time to relax, refuel, and connect with fellow riders, sharing stories from the trail and taking in the calm that comes with mountain sunsets and quiet alpine nights. Meals are thoughtfully prepared to keep riders energized and ready for full days in the saddle.
This combination offering is ideal for riders who want more than just training or just a tour. It is for those who want to learn with purpose, then immediately experience what those skills unlock. Intro to Adventure + High Rockies Adventure delivers a complete Rawhyde experience, blending education, exploration, and unforgettable mountain riding into one cohesive journey.
