Next Step & High Rockies Adventure
Next Step + High Rockies Adventure is an advanced progression for riders who want to elevate their off-road skills and immediately apply them in a true alpine adventure environment. This combination pairs Rawhyde’s Next Step training with the immersive experience of the High Rockies Adventure, creating a seamless transition from focused skill development to real-world mountain riding.
The experience begins with Next Step, where riders build on established fundamentals and refine techniques for more varied and demanding terrain. Training focuses on improved traction management, advanced braking, body position in dynamic conditions, tighter turns, hill technique, and riding smoothly through technical sections. The emphasis is on control, efficiency, and confidence across a broader range of situations, preparing riders for longer days and more diverse terrain.
Following the training, riders transition directly into the High Rockies Adventure, carrying those advanced skills into Colorado’s high country. The tour features high elevation passes, sweeping mountain valleys, forest roads, and expansive backcountry routes framed by dramatic peaks and open alpine views. Changing elevations, cooler temperatures, and varied terrain provide the ideal setting to reinforce skills while enjoying some of the most scenic riding available.
The tour is fully supported by Rawhyde’s experienced team, with a lead coach guiding the group, a sweep coach providing support from the rear, and a support truck and trailer handling logistics and assistance as needed. This structure allows riders to focus on the ride, the scenery, and continued progression without worrying about planning or support.
Evenings offer time to relax and connect with fellow riders, sharing stories from the trail and taking in the calm of mountain sunsets and quiet alpine nights. Meals are thoughtfully prepared to keep riders energized and ready for full days in the saddle.
Next Step + High Rockies Adventure is ideal for riders who want to sharpen advanced skills and immediately experience what those skills unlock in a stunning alpine environment. This combination delivers a complete Rawhyde experience, blending progression, exploration, and unforgettable mountain riding into one cohesive journey.
