Intro to Adventure: Level 1 Training — Colorado Edition

Our Colorado Intro to Adventure camp delivers the same world-class Level 1 curriculum as California, but with an entirely different backdrop. Set in the stunning high-altitude terrain of central Colorado, this program uses the natural landscape — rolling meadows, rocky paths, gentle hill climbs, and wide-open vistas — to help you build true off-road confidence on your BMW GS.

Colorado’s terrain provides the perfect mix of beginner-friendly features and real-world variables. You’ll train in an environment that feels remote, scenic, and immersive, giving you the skills to handle unpaved routes anywhere your adventures take you.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll train on the full foundational curriculum, designed to eliminate the common mistakes street riders make when transitioning to dirt. Through structured, progressive drills, you’ll gain the skills and confidence required for safe, controlled off-road riding:

  • Proper off-road body position

  • Clutch, throttle, and brake finesse

  • Weight-shift steering and balance control

  • Slow-speed mastery and counterbalancing

  • Obstacle avoidance and line selection

  • Managing front and rear wheel skids

  • Hard acceleration on dirt and loose terrain

  • Traction management, controlled hill climbs, and safe descents

  • Sand and gravel handling techniques

  • Recovering from stalls on inclines

  • How to turn around on a hill with a fully loaded bike

All training is conducted using the natural features of our Colorado property and surrounding terrain.

Accommodations and Meals

  • Friday arrival with orientation dinner

  • Three nights lodging at our Colorado camp

  • All meals prepared by trained chefs

  • All beverages included

This course equips you with the essential building-block skills for adventure riding, taught in one of the most beautiful training environments in the country. Colorado provides the scenery — we provide the skills and the confidence.
