Cancellation & Credits Policy
RAWHYDE Cancellation, Credit, and Weather Policy
Training Programs
All RAWHYDE training programs require a $500 deposit at the time of registration. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the scheduled event date. Unless other payment arrangements have been made in advance, RAWHYDE will automatically charge the credit card on file for the remaining balance 14 days prior to the event.
Because our training classes often sell out well in advance, last-minute cancellations are difficult to fill. We strongly encourage rescheduling rather than canceling whenever possible. Our team genuinely wants to provide the experience you registered for. However, if cancellation is necessary, the following terms apply.
Training Cancellation Schedule
90 days or more before the scheduled event: Full refund
89 to 61 days before the scheduled event: $250 cancellation fee
60 to 46 days before the scheduled event: $350 cancellation fee
45 days or less before the scheduled event: Deposit is forfeited
Adventure Tours
The same general principles apply to RAWHYDE adventure tours. However, because tours involve more complex logistics, including staff, vehicles, accommodations, meals, support resources, routing, and other advance commitments, cancellation fees differ slightly.
Most RAWHYDE tours require a deposit at the time of registration. Some tours may require a deposit greater than $500 due to the specific logistics, lodging, permitting, support requirements, or third-party costs associated with that tour. The required deposit amount will be shown at the time of booking.
The remaining balance is due 14 days before the scheduled tour date. Unless other payment arrangements have been made in advance, RAWHYDE will automatically charge the credit card on file for the remaining balance 14 days prior to the tour.
Once a tour has begun, no refunds or credits will be issued if a guest chooses to leave the tour early, is unable to continue, or otherwise does not complete the tour. This includes unused lodging, meals, support services, riding days, or any other included tour components.
Tour Cancellation Schedule
90 days or more before the scheduled event: Full refund
89 to 61 days before the scheduled event: $300 cancellation fee
60 to 46 days before the scheduled event: $500 cancellation fee
45 days or less before the scheduled event: Deposit is forfeited
Credits, Transfers, and Rebooking
When a credit is issued, the credit may be applied toward future RAWHYDE training, tours, rentals, or private instruction, subject to availability and current published pricing.
Credits do not guarantee access to a different product, program, date, tour, rental, or service at the same price as the original booking. If a guest applies a credit toward a higher-priced or higher-resource service, including private instruction, adventure tours, custom training, motorcycle rentals, lodging, meals, or other add-on services, the guest is responsible for any difference in price, upgrade fees, rental fees, or other applicable charges.
Private instruction is not considered a like-for-like replacement for a group training class. Group training and private instruction have different pricing structures, staffing requirements, and operational costs. A credit from a group class may be applied toward private instruction, but only at current published private instruction rates and subject to instructor availability.
RAWHYDE’s goal is to remain as flexible and customer-friendly as possible while also protecting the availability, staffing, and economics of our programs.
Weather, Rain, and Natural Events
Rain is part of adventure riding, and our training reflects that reality. Light rain or intermittent showers do not cancel a class. Training proceeds as scheduled under those conditions.
If the forecast calls for a sustained or severe storm that would compromise safety or the quality of training, RAWHYDE may postpone the class. In that case, participants will receive a rain check or voucher that can be applied toward a future available class or tour, subject to availability and current published pricing.
Refunds are not issued for weather-related postponements. Due to the nature of weather forecasting, cancellation decisions typically cannot be made more than seven days in advance.
For guests traveling by air, we recognize that weather-related postponements can create additional inconvenience. In those cases, RAWHYDE will provide a $50 credit to help offset airline rebooking fees. We also strongly recommend purchasing travel interruption insurance when making travel arrangements.
While we work hard to avoid cancellations, safety and training quality must always come first.
