Welcome to the Wild Card Rally, a new RAWHYDE weekend experience hosted at ZAKAR, our private Mojave Desert facility built for adventure riders, good food, great people, and unforgettable nights under the desert sky.
This is not a typical motorcycle event. It is part rally, part riding weekend, part training clinic, part desert party, and part casino night - all wrapped into one RAWHYDE-style experience.
Whether you want to improve your off-road skills, explore the Mojave with GPS tracks, hang out with other adventure riders, or just enjoy a one-of-a-kind weekend in the desert, Wild Card Rally is your ticket.

Saturday Night Wild card Casino at ZAKAR
Saturday night is when the Wild Card Rally earns its name.
We’re transforming ZAKAR into a desert casino for the evening, complete with classic table games, music, drinks, entertainment, and prizes.
Guests will be able to play games like:
- Poker
- Craps
- Blackjack
- And more
You’ll play for chips, and there will be a raffle for prizes at the end of the night. Prizes may include motorcycle gear, RAWHYDE apparel, riding accessories, and other event giveaways.
This is all about fun, friendly competition, and a great night with fellow riders. No real-money gambling. Just chips, prizes, laughs, and a desert party you’ll be talking about long after the weekend is over.
Adventure Motorcycle Training Clinics
During the day, we’ll offer half-day adventure motorcycle training clinics designed for both newer riders and riders looking to sharpen their skills.
Beginner Half-Day Adventure Clinic - $325
Perfect for riders who are newer to riding off-road or want to build more confidence on dirt, sand, gravel, and desert terrain.
Topics may include:
- Proper body position
- Balance and control
- Standing on the pegs
- Throttle, clutch, and brake control
- Low-speed handling
- Turning on loose terrain
- Confidence-building drills
- How to manage a larger adventure bike in the dirt
This clinic is ideal for riders who want a supportive, structured environment before heading out to explore the Mojave.
Intermediate Half-day Adventure Clinic - $325
Designed for riders who already have some off-road experience and want to become more comfortable in more varied terrain.
Topics may include:
- Loose terrain control
- Faster riding
- Line selection
- Sand and wash management
- Braking on dirt
- Skid turns
This clinic is a great way to sharpen your skills before hitting the trails or planning bigger adventure rides.
Mojave Desert GPS Tracks
For riders who want to explore, we’ll provide GPS tracks for local riding in the Mojave Desert.
The Mojave offers an incredible mix of desert roads, sand washes, rocky two-track, open views, mining history, and wide-open adventure riding. Riders can use the provided tracks to explore at their own pace, with RAWHYDE support available from ZAKAR.
This is a great option for riders who want a less structured day and more freedom to ride, explore, and enjoy the desert.
Riders should be prepared with a GPS device or phone-based navigation setup capable of loading and following GPX tracks.
Food, Bar, and Campfire
This is still a RAWHYDE weekend, which means the experience does not stop when the riding ends.
Your weekend includes:
- Chef-prepared meals
- Full bar (2 drink tickets per day included with entry fee)
- Evening campfires
- S’mores around the fire
- Coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- A relaxed, social atmosphere
- Plenty of time to hang out with other riders
After a day of riding or training, grab a drink, settle in, and enjoy the desert.
Lodging and Camping Options
The Wild Card Rally includes several ways to stay on-site at ZAKAR.
Lodging
Private rooms are available for $200 for both nights, and private cabins that sleep up to four guests are available for $400 for both nights.
Tent Camping
Tent camping space is available for guests who prefer to bring their own camping setup for the weekend and sleep under the stars!
Dry RV Camping
Dry camping is available for RVs. Please note that dry camping means no hookups. Guests should arrive self-contained and prepared for a desert camping environment.
RAWHYDE Support
RAWHYDE staff will be on-site throughout the weekend to help support the event, the clinics, the riding experience, and the overall guest experience.
This includes event coordination, hospitality, training support, local ride guidance, food and beverage service, and the Saturday night casino and entertainment experience.
You bring the bike. We’ll bring the desert, the food, the fire, the music, the fun, and the Wild Card.
What to Bring
We recommend bringing:
- Your adventure or dual-sport motorcycle
- DOT-approved helmet
- Riding boots
- Gloves
- Protective riding gear
- Hydration system
- GPS device or phone navigation setup
- Tent or RV setup, if camping
- Warm layers for the evening
- A good attitude and a sense of adventure
October is one of the best times of year to be in the Mojave, but desert weather can change quickly. Come prepared for warm days and cooler nights.
Event Schedule
Friday, October 16
Arrive at ZAKAR, check in, get settled, meet the RAWHYDE team, and enjoy the first evening of the weekend.
Friday is about arrival, orientation, food, drinks, live music, and getting ready for Saturday.
Saturday, October 17
Saturday is the main event.
During the day, guests can participate in beginner or intermediate adventure motorcycle training clinics, follow GPS tracks for local Mojave riding, or enjoy the ZAKAR property and the surrounding desert.
Saturday evening includes dinner, full bar, entertainment, campfire, s’mores, and our Wild Card Casino Night with poker, craps, blackjack, chips, and prizes.
Sunday, October 18
Sunday morning includes breakfast, coffee, and a relaxed send-off. Depending on the final event schedule, there may be time for additional riding, socializing, or packing up before departure.
