Idaho is one of the most amazing adventure riding destinations in the American West. Big mountains, endless forest roads, remote two-track, hot springs, river canyons, historic mining towns, and wide-open backcountry make this state a dream for adventure riders who want something real.

The Best of Idaho Backcountry is a co-branded training-tour between RAWHYDE Moto Adventures and Into the Horizon, led by Idaho-based guide Lance Gines and RAWHYDE owner Eric Sachs.

Lance and his company, Into the Horizon, are based in Boise, Idaho. He has spent years building routes through the Idaho backcountry and is known for creating personal, high-quality adventure riding experiences. For this special tour, Lance will lead the group, Eric will ride sweep, and RAWHYDE customers will get a unique Idaho experience with the structure, support, and instructional focus they expect from a RAWHYDE training-tour.

This is not a race. It is not a survival ride. It is a properly supported, professionally guided adventure motorcycle training-tour through some of the best backcountry terrain Idaho has to offer.

Hotels and meals are included, and riders may bring their own adventure bikes or rent from Lance’s available fleet.

As the day progresses, the scenery opens up into classic Idaho terrain - mountains, forests, valleys, and wide-open stretches that remind you why adventure bikes exist.
Throughout the day, Lance and Eric will stop the group at key points to discuss technique and terrain management. We’ll focus on standing position, balance, vision, throttle control, and how to stay relaxed on loose surfaces.

The training-tour format continues throughout the day. Before more technical sections, we’ll pause to talk through the terrain ahead and give riders specific techniques to apply in real time.
